Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps that Pathwaze has taken, and is continuing to take, to ensure that modern slavery or human trafficking is not taking place within our business or supply chains.
Our Commitment
Pathwaze, a provider of supported accommodation for vulnerable men, has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships, and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to safeguard against any form of exploitation.
Our Business and Supply Chains
Our organisation provides a person-centred supported accommodation across London. Our supply chains include, but are not limited to:
Property maintenance and facilities management.
Recruitment agencies and temporary labour.
Procurement of goods (e.g., furniture, office supplies, and IT equipment).
Training and professional services.
We recognise that our sector-specific risks are highest in areas involving temporary labour and outsourced services.
Our Policies
We operate several internal policies to ensure we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner. These include:
- Whistleblowing Policy: We provide a confidential mechanism for staff, service users, and others to report concerns without fear of retaliation.
- Safeguarding Policy: We treat modern slavery as a core safeguarding issue. All staff are trained to recognise and report signs of exploitation.
- Recruitment Policy: We conduct checks to verify the eligibility of all employees to work in the UK, preventing the use of forced labour.
- Procurement Policy: We are committed to working with suppliers who share our values and who can demonstrate their own compliance with the Modern Slavery Act.
Due Diligence
We are taking steps to identify and mitigate risks in our operations and supply chains by:
Assessing potential suppliers before entering into contracts.
Ensuring our supplier agreements include anti-slavery clauses.
Providing training to staff in key roles (e.g., recruitment, procurement, and management) on identifying and addressing modern slavery risks.
Looking Ahead
In the coming year, we are committed to further strengthening our response by rolling out enhanced due diligence checks for all new suppliers and providing additional training for our front-line support staff.
This statement has been approved by the Board of Directors of Pathwaze and will be reviewed and updated annually.
